Bar Verde is SO good, I recently came in with friends and it was an excellent experience. The atmosphere inside of this place is really nice - it's so cozy on a chilly evening. The staff are attentive & efficient and the food is incredible. Try the Guacamole Verde + Nachos (shared plates), each dish is so delicious. I highly recommend this spot, definitely check them out if you're in the East Village!!

Amazing, tasty and fresh dishes. All vegan too 😀 meatballs in red sauce, chopped salad and their lemon basil spritz. Perfect lunch.

Bar Verde was exceptional with their twist on Mexican cuisine with everything being vegan and gluten free! With all the dishes we ordered, we couldn’t tell it was just all vegetables. Let’s start with the guacamole and it was simply fresh 👌🏽 The drinks we ordered were massive and worth the NY prices. Spicy cauliflower enchiladas were phenomenal along with the Maitake Enmolada, which was purely just mushrooms that had the similar Umami flavor and good for my taste buds. Churros were a game changer knowing it was gluten free. The three stars rating is really a 3.8 stars because the space is small not spacious, service was good but our original waiter vanished after giving out entrees. Also we weren’t aware everything was already premade and couldn’t really substitute something out. Other than that we will come back if craving vegan Mexican food.

I was reluctant to patronize Double Zero with all the controversy surrounding its founder highlighted in the New York Times. However, I took the leap. I have eaten at several Double Zero’s across the nation and the food and customer service is usually superb. The customer service was poor. No greeting or thank you upon picking up a $64 food order. The food was mediocre. I asked for utensils and none was in the bad. Luckily, I had one fork in my hotel room. I am ambivalent about visiting this location again

Great vegan Mexican food. I had been to their sister restaurant, Double Zero once before and it was just as delicious. The food was delicious and filling. The service was a touch rushed, but not terrible. The food almost came out too quickly between courses. I guess, that’s a good thing sometimes depending on the experience you’re hoping for.

Best pasta & pizza EVER! Their cashew cheese is unbelievable. The server, Santiago, was so helpful, friendly, caring and patient. We love everything about this place!

Delicious gluten free and vegan food, fun vibes, good drinks. I think my friends without dietary restrictions think it’s “ok” but as someone with celiac I love Bar Verde! I got the enchiladas, others in our group got the wet burrito, nachos and we shared chips + guac.
